We will be painting with acrylic on canvas, sculpting, writing and drawing in this workshop. Come and join us, no art talent or experience is necessary. (You might want a paint shirt or apron to protect your clothing.)
The workshop and materials are free to all survivors and their allies. Donations are appreciated.
Samantha Allen is a local Fine Artist and business owner of Maranatha Fine Art, who is currently working on her Masters degree in painting. In addition to being a busy mother, grandmother, and caregiver for her husband, she loves facilitating art and painting that expresses the heart and gives visual language to what is beneath the surface. Her favorite motto is: Expression is the opposite of depression!”

Participants will use pencil and watercolor for this fun exercise.
Please bring a 3D object with you that has a positive meaning for you, and is no larger than a dinner plate. It could be a stuffed animal, jewelry etc. but not a photograph. It will be used for reference only and not be altered in any way.
Marre Moores is a 47 year old professional portrait artist and Colorado Springs native. She loves capturing the spirit of people in oil paint. Studying her craft has taught her so much about herself and life in general. She has a British husband and eight year old daughter who would like a pet Unicorn. Her favorite place to be is in the mountains.
