Annual Art Show

A Celebration of Self Expression

Annual Sexual Assault Art Show

This is truly one of our most moving events.

Every April, Finding Our Voices sponsors an Art Show of works produced by survivors and allies. Each piece is accompanied by an artist’s statement describing their experience of creating and reflecting on the healing process.

Watch here for details on next year’s show.

Date: April 2024

Locations:
Who Gives a Scrap – 810 Arcturus Drive
Cheyenne Mountain Library – 1785 S. 8th St.
The First Congregational Church – 20 E. St. Vrain St.

April 2023

This year was a success! The annual survivor Art Exhibit sponsored by Finding Our Voices (FOV) decorated the halls of Who Gives a Scrap throughout April and May. Many of the pieces were created at FOV monthly half day Art Workshops and 2-day ArtScapes. FOV has observed Sexual Assault Month with exhibits of survivor art each year since 2008.

The exhibit consisted of 30 pieces including a portrait painting on denim, collage, acrylic painting, scratch art, spirit dolls, and dream catchers. Other exhibits of FOV survivor art were at Cheyenne Mountain Library and Mariam’s Place. FOV artists shared their thoughts about these expressive art projects through statements that accompanied their artwork. FOV is grateful for the opportunity to continue exhibiting survivor art at Who Gives a Scrap.
