Artistic journaling & writing prompts

We began the day’s retreat with a guided meditation, before heading outside into the sunshine for trauma-sensitive yoga with Kara!
Some deer came to rest nearby and watched us practice yoga on the grass. Staying present, we explored movements and paid attention to our breathing.  Yoga helped to center us; it woke up our bodies and minds, giving us energy for the rest of the day’s activities.

Returning indoors, we began creating our own Art Journals with Teri, which were colorful, bright, beautiful creations!
These journals are something that can be easily recreated on our own once they are full. We could also reuse them by removing the inside pages from the cover and refilling the inside with new paper.

After creating the journals, we took a break to have lunch together, and those who wanted to, also went for a meditative walk through the labyrinth before returning for the final half of the day.

We spent the afternoon creating artistic journal pages with Deb, using a variety of sprays, pastels, stencils, pens, and crayons.
We were able to explore a variety of tools and ways to be creative. It was fun to experiment and try the new things Deb showed us! After our pages were dry, we were asked to write on our art pages words, phrases, quotes or sentences that came to mind.

We finished the day by sharing within our table groups how we had each personally experienced acceptance, integrity, transformation, and release throughout the activities and time spent during the day.

We are so grateful for our wonderful facilitators for making it such an engaging and creative day!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

And a big thank you to all of our participants who attended the retreat!
We are so glad you came!
