This is her story, one that leads to a volcano of unbelievable terror; dark truths obscured with a veil of silence and shame by family, clergy and neighbors. It’s also a story of love, the wonderment of a new environment, and discovering the power of SELF.

For MavaJoyce, there were many violators, tormentors, and disbelievers. Still, her story didn’t end in darkness; there were those who stepped in to offer shelter and light. Her path from awareness to acceptance was long and hard. Ultimately, she integrated her memories and most importantly, learned to love her SELF.
